So have your web site up, or even better your community site. You have few people who visit everyday. They write their post get involved and are stars of you community. Then the large majority just come back when the think of it.

I wish I could answer these questions for you. But, there are no silver bullets when it comes to having a great web site. I have a few idea on things that can help. If you put these technologies to use and produce well written content that is relevant to your cause then you have a good formula for success.

Without donations most Non Profits would not be able to provide their services to the community. Google recognizes this and is doing their part help. They are offering Google Donate, part of Google Checkout, with no fee transactions through until 2009.

So you have some questions you want to ask you members? A survey would be great, but they are expensive to mail and your return rates will probably be low. I have just discovered a nice way to collect data in a form and have each participants results saved to a Google Spreadsheets.

This site is build with Graffiti CMS (beta 2) from Telligent. Since this is my first full Graffiti implementation I thought I should share my impressions while it's fresh in my mind.
